What is Pho?Pho Bo or Beef noodle soup is rapidly becoming a culinary phenomenon in places like America, Canada, and Australia.
Pho is pronounced “FEU.” Legend has it to be a French derivation of “Pot-au-feu” which roughly means “a simmering pot on a stove or fire.” Literally, Pho pot sits 12+ hours on a stove and the result is no less than a delicately spiced broth with complex flavors. Executive Chef Didier Corlou described Pho as “…the best soup in the world…”
Pho is served in a bowl of fragrant broth over noodles, topped with sliced tender beef and then garnished with bountiful bunches of bean sprouts, limes, chilies, and spikes of basil. Garnishing Pho is like putting together your own hamburger - you can have it your way!
