A. You may subscribe via the Giving Forward website at www.givingforward.com under the ’Buy Now’ page.
B. You may be able to subscribe by filling up our order form that can be found through our participating charities, merchants and affiliates.
You will receive a unique username and password to access the Vouchers in the ‘Merchants’ page of the Giving Forward website, along with your VIP Membership Card & authentic Giving Forward hologram credit-stickers in the mail. Merchants have agreed to provide exclusive discounts, specials offers and free-gifts as a show of support to this unique social enterprise. As such, the value of the savings and special offers to our VIP Members is in excess of S$5000. This value will grow as we continually add merchants to our program throughout the year. You will definitely be able to find value in the Vouchers and utilize them throughout the year, saving you alot of money. We will also send you our monthly newlsetter, which highlights special members-only offers & one-off bonuses from our merchants, as well as highlight the great work done by our adopted charities - where you can contribute either as donor or enrich your experience as a volunteer.
Your membership will be valid ONE (1) year from the date of your subscription.
Merchant sign an one-year Agreement with Giving Forward, and offers are valid for ONE year upon their agreement with us. All validity dates are displayed clearly on the Vouchers and also in the Giving Forward website. However, there are some merchants who have short-term offers - the validity date will be reflected in the Vouchers.
Your VIP Membership Card and hologram stickers (used as credit to autheticate the Vouchers) will be mailed to you (within 5-7 working days) to your address provided to us during your sign-up. The Vouchers can be downloaded once you log in to the Giving Forward website.
You will receive your VIP Membership Card and hologram credit stickers mailed to you at the address provided to us when you sign up. You will also be provided a unique username and password, where you can log in and download all the Vouchers found in the ‘Merchants’ page of the Giving Forward website. By downloading & printing the Vouchers, and affixing the hologram stickers on each Voucher, you can redeem the Vouchers at participating merchants. All Vouchers without the Giving Forward hologram stickers are not authenticated and thus not valid.
The Giving Forward Vouchers are only accepted by merchants upon the presentation of of the VIP Membership Card and affixed hologram credit stickers. As such, there will be a replacment cost of $10 per lost/damaged Membership card. Just write in to us via members@givingforward.com and we will send out your new VIP Membership Card within 5-7 working days upon receiving payment. Payment can be made via the ‘Buy Now’ page - click on the box which says ‘Lost VIP Membership card’.
We have at least 75 merchants participating from our soft launch in September 2007, spread across the 16 categories. Our aim is to have at least 15-20 new merchants confirming their participation every month, bringing the total close to 200 merchants by 2008. As Giving Forward grows, so will the quantity and quality of our merchants as well.
We welcome all merchants into the Giving Forward program - as long as you provide a special offer, discount or promotion that matches or betters your existing offers. We offer 2 advertising packages, FREE and PAID. Please see the ‘Advertise with us’ page for more information.
Giving Forward is registered as a business entity, a social enterprise. Just like any normal business, we have to be profitable, well-managed and self-sustainable. Giving Forward does not rely on donations or fund-raising events to maintain our operations. We generate profits from the sales of the VIP Membership program as well as paid-advertising. Profits made are used to cover our operations, provide employment and training to marginalized members of society, with 20% of our revenue from the VIP Membership program donated upfront to our adopted charities.
Giving Forward was created to engage the public and private sectors to highlight ‘cause-related’ marketing. As a social enterprise media company, we harness the power of the media & internet to increase awareness of the work done by charities, increase volunteerism and donations to charities, and also create employment & training opportunities to marginalized members of society.
Everyone knows about ‘paying it forward’ - it means rather than returning a favour to someone who did something good for you, you take action and do something good for the next person, pass it on. We believe that Giving and doing good should come naturally from each and everyone of us. It doesn’t have to be because someone else did you a favour, or you owe someone else something back. Giving without expecting anything back shows the true spirit of a person.
When you sign up for the Giving Forward VIP Membership, 20% will be donated to one of our adopted charities. The rest of the funds will be used to operate our social enterprise. By presenting your Giving Forward vouchers at participating merchants, you are showing your support to our merchants, which will help spread the word and increase the success of this unique program.
We believe that consumers when offered a choice, will choose merchants who participate in the Giving Forward program, over merchants whose bottom line is to solely maximize profits. By supporting merchants on board the Giving Forward program, more merchants will then choose to support Giving Forward and the spirit of social enterprise.
Please sign up as an affiliate under the ‘Affiliates’ page, or log-in to your member’s area. Affiliates will receive S$5 per each successful referral VIP Membership sign-up. Charities & NPO’s will receive S$10.60 or S$12.60 per each successful referral VIP Membership sign-up. By voting with your spending power, you are adding momentum to ‘cause-related marketing’. Marketing for a social cause makes good business-sense. It’s more than just profits, its giving back to society and looking after the poeple, planet & profits. In essence, its about sustainability.
